How do I create a memorial?
Creating a memorial is simple! Click the "Create a Memorial" button, fill in basic information about your loved one (name, dates, and a photo), and you'll have a beautiful memorial page in minutes. You can always add more content like biography, photos, videos, and timeline events later.
Is iLive free to use?
Yes! Basic memorials are completely free. We offer premium plans with additional features like ad-free experience, more storage space (up to 10GB), custom domains, and advanced analytics for those who want them. Free accounts include 1GB storage and all core memorial features.
What information do I need to create a memorial?
At minimum, you'll need the full name of your loved one, birth date, passing date, and a photo. You can also add an obituary, biography, timeline events, photos, videos, and location information. Don't worry - you can always add more content later!
Can I create a memorial before someone passes?
We understand that some families want to prepare memorials in advance. Yes, you can create a memorial that remains private until you're ready to publish it. This allows families to plan ahead during difficult times.

Can I edit a memorial after it's created?
Yes! You can edit any part of the memorial at any time. Add or remove photos, update biographical information, add timeline events, moderate tributes, and change privacy settings. As the memorial owner, you have full control over the content.
How do I invite family members to contribute?
Go to your memorial dashboard and click "Invite Contributors". You can send email invitations to family members with different roles: Admin (full control), Editor (can add content), or Contributor (can leave tributes and upload photos).
Can I have multiple administrators for a memorial?
Yes! You can assign multiple family members as administrators. This is especially helpful for large families where multiple people want to help manage the memorial. Simply invite them with "Admin" privileges.
What happens if I delete my account?
If you delete your account, any memorials you created will need to be transferred to another family member first. We don't delete memorials automatically to preserve memories. Please contact support if you need to transfer ownership.

Can I control who sees the memorial?
Absolutely! You can set privacy to: Public (anyone can view), Link-only (only people with the link), Invite-only (only invited users), or Family-only (only family members you specify). You're in complete control of who can view and contribute.
How is my personal information protected?
We take data security seriously. We use SSL encryption for all data transmission, store data in secure data centers, and regularly conduct security audits. We never sell your personal information to third parties.
Can I make a memorial private after making it public?
Yes! You can change privacy settings at any time. If you initially made a memorial public and later want to restrict access, simply go to memorial settings and choose a more private option. The change takes effect immediately.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Click the "Report" button on any tribute, photo, or comment that violates our community guidelines. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24-48 hours and takes appropriate action. For urgent issues, contact support directly.
QR Code & Gravesite

How do I get the QR code for a memorial?
Every memorial automatically generates a unique QR code. You can find it in the "QR Code" section of your memorial dashboard. Download and print it, or order a durable, weatherproof QR code plaque for gravesite installation.
What materials should I use for printing the QR code?
For gravesite installation, we recommend using weatherproof materials like UV-resistant vinyl, metal, or ceramic plaques. Standard paper will deteriorate quickly outdoors. We offer high-quality, durable QR code plaques through our store.
Can visitors scan the QR code without an account?
Yes! Visitors can scan the QR code and view the memorial without creating an account. However, to leave tributes or upload photos, they'll need to sign up (it's free and takes less than a minute).
Can I track how many people scan the QR code?
Yes! Premium accounts include QR code analytics showing how many scans your code receives, when they occur, and approximate locations. This helps you understand how many people are visiting the memorial.

What types of media can I upload?
You can upload photos (JPG, PNG, GIF), videos (MP4, MOV, AVI), and audio files (MP3, WAV). Premium accounts support larger file sizes and more storage. All media is optimized for web viewing while maintaining quality.
Is there a limit on how many photos I can upload?
Free accounts include 1GB of storage, which typically holds hundreds of photos. Premium accounts offer up to 10GB of storage. There's no limit on the number of files, just total storage space.
Can I embed YouTube or Vimeo videos?
Yes! Simply paste the YouTube or Vimeo URL when adding a video, and it will automatically embed. This saves storage space and allows you to share existing tribute videos.
What photo formats and sizes are recommended?
We recommend JPG or PNG format with dimensions of at least 800x600 pixels for best quality. Portrait orientation works best for profile photos, while landscape is ideal for cover images and gallery photos.
Tributes & Guestbook

How do I moderate guestbook entries?
As a memorial admin, you can approve, edit, or delete guestbook entries. Go to the "Tributes" section of your dashboard to manage entries. You can choose to require approval for all new tributes or allow automatic posting.
Can I respond to tributes?
Yes! You can reply to guestbook entries to thank visitors for their kind words. Replies appear below the original tribute and can be seen by all visitors, creating a meaningful conversation of remembrance.
What are the virtual candle and flower options?
Visitors can light virtual candles or leave virtual flowers as a sign of remembrance. These appear on the memorial page and can be accompanied by a short message. It's a beautiful way for people to show they're thinking of your loved one.
Can I export all tributes?
Yes! Premium accounts can export all guestbook entries as a PDF or CSV file. This is perfect for creating a keepsake book of all the beautiful messages and memories shared.
Billing & Subscriptions

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, M-Pesa, and bank transfers for premium plans. All payments are processed securely through industry-standard payment processors.
How do I upgrade to premium?

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
